Legends

Custom legends can be configured for any layer within PCT Agcloud. These legends will be displayed within integration partner systems as well (Agworld, Operations Center™). The video and article below will show how to set up custom legends.

Steps:

1. Navigate to the Configuration tool by clicking on the username in the upper-right corner and clicking the 'Configuration' button from the dropdown.

2. Select the 'Legend' tab.

3. Select the Dealer that the legend will be associated with. Legends can also be set to the Grower level. If you want the legend to display for all Growers, leave the Grower selection set to All.

4. Click the 'Add a legend' button.

5. Select the layer type(s) that the legend will be for. To add a layer type select it from the list and click the '+' button.

6. Configure the settings for Crops, Products, Units, and Countries.

  • Crops should only be set to 'All' or 'Choose' for layers types that have a crop component (ex. Yield).
  • Products should only be set to 'All' or 'Choose' for layer types that have a product component (ex. Rx).
  • For soil layer types, the settings should be configured as shown below.

7. Choose a Distribution Method. The two most common are 'None' and 'Uniform'. Choose None to enter set breaks and choose Uniform for the breaks to be set around the mean automatically for each layer.

8. To add in breaks/colors click the '+ below' button. Topmost '+ below' button will add a new line at the top, and the

'+ below' for each line will add a new line directly underneath it.

9. Click on the color box to set a color or paste in a HEX color value on the left of the line.

-Note: For best results, drag the opacity slider fully to the right.

10. Or apply a preset color pallet by clicking the 'apply' button and chosing a pallet from the list.

11. If 'None' distribution method was selected, enter Min/Max values. When entering values, a null value in the Min column will include all values below the next Max, and a null value in the Max column will include all values above the next Min. Overlap Min and Max values to ensure that no decimal values are excluded.

12. Labels can be added to lines.

13. Comments can be added to lines or to the entire legend.

14. When finished, click 'Save'.

-Note: Allow up to 15 minutes for layers to update with new legend.

15. Similar to formulas and other tools in PCT Agcloud, legends can be exported and imported as a .json file to be duplicated and moved between Dealers/Growers.
