This article will show how different methods to create zone boundaries and how those boundaries can be edited, selected, and managed.
Create Zone Boundaries
- There are multiple ways that Zone Boundaries can be created. Anytime a Management Zone layer is imported into PCT, zone boundaries for that layer will automatically be created.
- Zone boundaries from Management Zone layers or Painted Zone layers can be created manually by clicking the 'Create Zone Boundaries' button in the Layer Actions menu.
- After saving a Painted Zones layer you can also create zone boundaries by clicking the 'Create Surfacing Zones from Painted Zones' button.
Manage Zone Boundaries
- Zone boundaries can be edited and managed from the Options menu in the Field Editor dropdown in the Setup tool.
- Zone boundaries can be set for a field by selecting the Key icon next to the zone boundary. To open a zone boundary, click on the dropdown.
- New zone boundaries can also be created with paint tools by clicking the 'New Zones Set' button.
-Note: When creating new Zone Boundaries from Setup, a Management Zone layer will not be created.
- Zone boundary names, crops, and seasons can be set, and the zones can be edited using paint tools. To delete a set of zone boundaries, click 'Delete'.
