What is PCT Agcloud?

Created by Info Admin, Modified on Thu, 11 Jan at 9:43 AM by Info Admin

PCT Agcloud is a cloud-based software solution for precision data creation, management, and analysis to deliver customized outcomes for agronomists and growers to better manage their fields.

PCT Agcloud has a simple yet robust user interface that is both logical to use for the precision ag beginner and extremely powerful for the true precision ag specialist.

PCT Agcloud is available to partners to use as is, to connect to the API and build a unique UI, or any combination that makes sense for their operation.

Tools:

PCT Agcloud offers a fleet of powerful precision software tools that enable you to efficiently create prescriptions, trials, and zoned layers as well as run analyses, edit layers, view imagery, and more!

  • View

The View tool in PCT Agcloud operates as a home base for your PCT account. It houses many shortcuts to frequently used tools within PCT, and it has many capabilities including the ability to view fields and layers side-by-side using the ‘Multi-Viewer’ feature or overlayed by adjusting the opacity of the layers. The View tool also allows you to manually import data, view imagery, and run comparisons between layers. To learn more about these capabilities and much more, follow this link (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381754-view-tool-basic-navigation) and explore all of the articles within the “View” folder in the Knowledge Base.

  • Rx

The Rx tool allows you to create and modify prescriptions and formulas for field-specific management that is tailored to your operation’s needs. You can create single-product prescriptions for one or multiple fields (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381846-single-product-multi-field) or multi-product prescriptions for single fields (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381812-multi-product-single-field-st). The Rx tool also allows you to create, import, and modify formulas using the ‘Formula Rx’ application (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381801-formula-rx) as well as create Strip Trials.

  • Zone/Locate

Zone/Locate houses tools for creating irrigation pivot boundaries (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381760-pivot-design) plotting soil moisture probe locations based on various layers (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381824-probe-locate), and creating zone layers (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381808-zone-locate). Zone/Locate also houses a k-Means Clustering tool (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381785-k-means-clustering).A screenshot of a computer

  • Analytics

The Analytics tool allows you to run specialized correlations for Yield, Soil Points, and Strip Trials. The Yield Analytics tool (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381827-yield-analytics) allows you to run correlations between the same or different crops over multiple years and create yield zones and yield potential maps based on the combined maps. The Soil Points Analytics tool (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381826-soil-points-analytics) allows you to run correlations between soil chemistry and soil survey layers (DualEM, Veris, Gamma) and create new functional continuous layers such as estimated Soil Clay, pH, CEC, Na%, and many more. The Strip Trial Analytics tool (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381822-strip-trial-analytics) enables you to analyze layers with preexisting strip trial layers or create strip trials on layers to run analyses on. You can compare these trials to yield layers and generate detailed trial reports from the tool. You also have the option to create strip trials in the Yield Analytics tool.

  • Data Editor

PCT has a very advanced Data Editing tool that allows you to take control of your data. Data with above 95% coverage is automatically processed with some default settings in PCT; however, Data Editor allows you to further edit your data with multiple tools as you see fit. The Data Editor tool also allows you to create additional layers. For example, if a layer was mapped using RTK, you can create elevation and several elevation derivative layers in Data Editor. Follow this link to learn more about Data Editor (https://pctagcloud-support.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/51000381835-data-editor). A screenshot of a computer

  • Reports

Once data has been processed correctly you can run upwards of 25 different reports that help customers understand the drivers of their fields. PCT Agcloud reports are key performance indicators of your crops and fields. For example, use EM and Yield to establish how well you irrigated and where your losses could be, or overlay with elevation derivatives to establish yield loss to poor drainage. The Reports tool contains pre-made templates for specific reports, and your own logo can be added to the finished reports. A screenshot of a computer

Integrations:

  • John Deere

Through the integration with the John Deere Operations Center, PCT users can link their PCT Agcloud and MyJD accounts for automatic upload and download of data between accounts. PCT users can have machine data automatically flow into their PCT Agcloud account, and they can push back cleaned data, prescriptions, imagery, zoned layers, and more into their Ops Center account and directly to machines. The integration also gives users the ability to create prescriptions within the Ops Center. Link Cotton and Protein Pro are special projects that are available exclusively for John Deere customers.

  • Agworld
The integration with Agworld allows customers to link their Agworld and PCT Agcloud accounts for seamless and automated data transfer between accounts. PCT adds advanced analytical power to Agworld users and adds functionality to the ExpressRX tool in Agworld. The integration of Agworld and PCT has been around for many years and adds several functional benefits to users while eliminating many of the headaches associated with two-system partnerships.

  • CNH
The integration with CNH allows for simplified importing and exporting of layers between the two systems

  • Slingshot

Similar to the CNH integration, PCT integrates with Slingshot to enable simplified importing and exporting of layers for users.

  • Climate

The integration with Climate allows PCT users to easily import data by simply entering a link obtained from Climate rather than uploading a file.

Data:
The path to quality precision management of your operation begins with data. PCT Agcloud accepts all common machine file formats and types. This includes harvest, planting, application, and tillage files from the systems listed below.

  • JD - Gen 1,2,3 and 4*
  • CNH - vyg and vyg1*
  • ISO - Trimble, Topcon, and Claas.
  • Precision Planting
  • Climate Drive
  • iCON Seed Hawk

PCT Agcloud also accepts data from other precision ag software systems so your transfer process is simple. The available systems are listed below.

  • SST
  • SMS
  • Field Analytics
  • MapShots
  • Apex
  • Farmworks

PCT Agcloud also accepts a variety of soil data. Soil data such as EC/EM data from TerraLogga, CSV, and Veris .dat are accepted, and soil sample point data can be imported as CSV or imported automatically from Agworld.

Other accepted file types include Geotiff, USDA Soil maps (SSURGO), Boundaries from MYJD Operations Center, and aerial and satellite image files.
