The video and article below will show how to use the Test Strip Setup tool in View. This same application can be found in multiple other locations throughout PCT (ex. Analytics, Zone/Locate).

Steps:

1. With the desired field selected in View, click the 'Toolbox' icon and select the 'Test Strip Setup' tab, or click the 'Create Strip Trial' button in the Right-Click Menu in View.

-Note: Layers can be loaded in the field as a reference for the trial(s). The opacity of the layers can be adjusted.

2. Click the 'Add new test strips' button.

3. Click and drag the center of the test strips to move their position.

4. Trials can be based on AB lines. AB lines can be imported from a file or from Operations Center™. Trials can be moved independently of the AB lines or snapped to the side or center of the AB lines.

-Note: AB lines must have widths in order to operate within the Strip Trial tool.

5. Select the 'Trial type'.

6. If you would like to add a Field Buffer, enter the size of the buffer. If the field boundary has passable obstacles they can be clipped by checking the 'clip passable obstacles' box. To exlude an area of the field, click the 'Draw exclude' box and draw a polygon around the desired area.

7. Then use the specification boxes to adjust the orientation, zone, treatments, and replicates.

8. Name the individual strips.

-Note: If the strips are not named, the layer will not save correctly.

9. Select a season.

10. If necessary, add a name for the trial.

11. Too add one or more trial blocks, click the 'Clone test strip' button.

-Note: These clones can mirror the original strips or be adjusted seperately.

12. To adjust the cloned strips independently of the original, check the 'Adjust individually' option.

13. Click 'Save test strips' or 'Save and clear test strips' to save as a Strip Trial Template layer.
