Layers and sampling plans can be downloaded and used in other viewing apps such as Google Earth. This can be useful for soil sampling or other activities that require in-field navigation.
Follow the video or the steps below for how to view PCT data in Google Earth (desktop/website and mobile app).
Steps:
1. In the View tool, select the Grower, Farm(s), and Field(s) that you would like to export data for.
2a. To export sample plans, select the 'Soil Data' tab, then click the 'Sample Plans' tab in the left pane, check the plans you would like to export, then choose the KML file type for download.
2b. To export layer data, select the 'Layers' tab, use the filters to load the desired layers, click the '...' button next to each layer, open the 'Export layer' menu, and select the KMZ file type for download.
3. Open Google Earth, the desktop app or website will work (for uploading to your phone app see step 7).
4. Select 'File', and click 'Import KML/KMZ file', or drag and drop the file into the map.
5. To upload the file to the Google Earth mobile app, email the downloaded files to your phone, open the file, select share, and choose Google Earth. Google Earth will then open and the file(s) will be present in the map.
